GDC award 2021 Award Winning Works Exhibition Opening Ceremony & Award Ceremony
On December 11, 2021, the opening ceremony of the exhibition of 2021 winning works of GDC design award was grandly opened in Oct creative exhibition center of happy coast. Designers, college representatives, sgda members, GDC participants, special guests and media friends from all over the country gathered in Shenzhen to witness this biennial event in the Chinese design industry.
In the afternoon of that day, the 2021 award ceremony of GDC design award was grandly held in Shenzhen pengrui Raffles Hotel. Design professionals from all over the country gathered in Shenzhen to jointly witness the birth of the 2021 award-winning works of GDC design award. At the award ceremony, more than 33 internationally renowned designers selected gold, silver and bronze awards and evaluation awards from 448 finalists. The 2021 professional group of GDC design award finally gave birth to 13 gold awards, 25 silver awards and 42 bronze awards; There are 4 gold awards, 20 silver awards, 28 bronze awards and 28 evaluation awards for the student group. The works that finally won the awards are representative works of current design innovation and exploration, which are highly expected by the industry.
Among them, founder font library won two bronze awards of GDC award 21 professional group by virtue of Founder one foundation one human body and Coca Cola care body, and the work to be developed, extreme black, won the silver award of GDC award 21 student group. The 10th founder award ceremony, the 11th founder award visual dynamic effect and event promotion supplies designed by Wx design won one professional group Gold Award, two professional group silver awards and two evaluation awards respectively.

Founder GDC officially released its new launch
In the past two years, the arrival of the epidemic and the rapid rise of emerging technologies have brought a strong impact on the design mode and practice mode. Facing the challenges of the new era, GDC award 2021 attempts to create "a self-growing image design" by comprehensively reviewing the development and changes of GDC from 1992 to 2021, focusing on how to use design thinking to raise new problems when digital media and graphic design confront each other.
This new design is implemented into the brand vision of GDC award 2021. On the one hand, it is a competition trophy newly designed and optimized according to the purpose and concept of the award. On the other hand, it is reflected in the new GDC customized Chinese font "founder GDC style" and English font "GDC type" jointly created by GDC award and founder font library.
Founder GDC body is inspired by the trophy design of GDC award bamboo shape, which is tall, elegant and full of Chinese flavor. Since ancient times, bamboo has been symbolized by "rising day by day" and "rather folding and unyielding"; Its characteristics of "modesty" and "straightness" have become the gentleman character loved by the world. The spiritual temperament and even morphological characteristics of this bamboo are further absorbed into the design of GDC body to achieve the sensory temperament of slightly narrow literal, slightly high center of gravity and white and comfortable inside.
GDC English font is extended and designed on the basis of GDC logo font. As a humanist sans serif font, GDC type shows humanity, refinement and power. Adjust the balance through different letter widths, giving people a friendly but solemn feeling. GDC type covers 247 Latin characters in 14 languages including English, Spanish, French and German.
In order to meet the application requirements of different scenes of GDC, founder GDC has designed four word weights, including TTF and OTF font formats, which can meet the use requirements of title and text.
In the future, it is hoped that Founder GDC can be familiar and used by more people. While revitalizing the visual image of the brand, it can promote the deeper connection of the society with the help of the temperature of words, so that more people can pay attention to GDC design award, font design and graphic design.
